Locura serves not only as a database of purely historical facts or tourist attractions. We’re also interested in folk tales, legends, or personalities associated with places. You can enrich the collection with classic textbook history of the place, as well as with stories passed down through generations.
Some places are already listed by our Locura Umpalumpas, while others are added by other guides. This makes your job a bit easier as you only need to add the recording. However, if you want to share a story for which there is no listed place in the app, feel free to add it yourself. As guides, you automatically have the option to create new places. Once you create the place, you can share your story as usual.
It purely depends on you. A guide’s earnings depend on the number of paid listens to their stories. The more interesting stories you upload to the app, the higher the chances that curious listeners will play them, resulting in higher earnings for you. You can find the current reward amount for listens and complete terms of use for the Locura guide profile in our terms and conditions.
You don’t have to send a carrier pigeon for your payout request because guide rewards are automatically processed every month. The only condition is that the earnings in the app must be at least 500 CZK. If the amount is lower, the payout doesn’t occur, but it will automatically happen in the month when the minimum threshold is reached.
Umbarto and Eleonora Locura are digital guides created by our team to simplify the work of real guides. They are designed to pre-fill locations and first recordings in the mobile app where there is no recording from a real guide yet. The voice recordings are created by our team, who ensure the quality and accuracy of the information. Modern technology gives them only the voice. In terms of the order of the recordings in the app, Eleonora and Umberto are assigned the lowest priority and once a recording is uploaded to the app by a real guide, they obediently move to the tail of the queue.
